Am Samstag, den 12. August, machten wir uns gut gelaunt auf den Weg zum Gäubodenvolksfest nach Straubing.
Mit dem Doppeldecker Bus ging es am Vormittag los. Unsere erste Pause legten wir in Väterstetten ein, eine Gelegenheit, sich etwas die Beine zu vertreten und einen Kaffee zu genießen.
Anschließend fuhren wir weiter zum Hotel, wo in gemütlicher Runde unser Mittagessen stattfand. Nach dem Mittagessen machten wir uns um 14:30 Uhr auf dem Weg zum Festplatz in Straubing.
Später trafen wir uns vor dem Reisinger-Festzelt, wo für uns ein reservierter Platz bereitstand. Wir genossen gemeinsam Musik und bayerische Festkultur.
Am Sonntag wurde das geplante Programm aufgrund der Hitze kurzfristig geändert. Statt noch mal das Fest zu besuchen, machten wir uns auf den Weg zum Tegernsee, dort genossen wir den Nachmittag entspannt.
Am Abend ließen wir unseren Ausflug bei einem gemeinsamen Abendessen ausklingen. Müde, aber voller schöner Eindrücke und Erinnerungen an ein unvergessliches Wochenende traten wir die Heimreise an.
